Kellie Martin is she is an American actor and director of films, is most well-known for her role for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting when she was just seven years old when her aunt who worked as a nanny for actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing a guest spot in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. Her professional career began following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of roles both in the television as well as the film industry. Martin is, in addition to being an excellent actress and dancer, is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Mother of two daughters, she's the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness about the condition each day following the passing of her sister when she was age 19.
